The Epic Show That Has

Okay, today I am writing about something totally different from what I've got you used to. I am writing about a TV Show that this week has its finale episode of its finale season. A TV Show that I grew up with, that by its stories and paths helped me become who today I am. You probabily think I'm a freak, who has no life, expressing like that about a show. But I honestly think I'm not. I mean, I have my own life out there, you know..
And in case you haven't noticed yet, I am talking about One Tree Hill. The little show that could turned intro The Epic show that has, as many cast members and fans are saying. And I believe that.
After 9 fascinanting seasons, we now have to say goodbye to it. And I must admit, I've never thought in my life I could feel this way. I mean, I cried with them all the way to the last minute that deserved it.
Its first season aired in the U.S in 2003. It was all about two half brothers who were the same age, went to same highschool, and barely could breath the same air. One of them was the good guy, and the other, the jackass , of course. It all changed when love came in their way. The jackass turned into the most dedicated husband really quickly, and later, a dedicated father, too. The good guy became a confused semi-jerk, always caught between two girls, also cheerledears, also best friends since ever. Yeah, kinda hard.
All over the years, it became a fascinating story. Or better said, many stories which all meet in one point : Friendship.
Let's clearfy this a little. The at first jerk, Nathan, is portrayed by James Lafferty. His brother, Lucas, by Chad Michael Murray. Lucas' best friend, later to become Nate's wife, Haley, was portrayed by Bethany Joy Lenz. Peyton, at first Nathan's girlfriend, later caught in the Lucas triangle, by Hilarie Burton. Peyton's best friend, also caught in the triangle, Brooke, by Sophia Bush. And many many many great and important characters that I am not going to enumerate right now.
The thing is, the story of each one of these characters has its own flashes of greatness. As a couple, I always admired Nathan and Haley. They built their home since highschool. Yeah, super wierd, I know. And there have been hardships, but they had past through them. All of them. And there haven't been just a few.
But the character who marked me, who is now a part of me, who impressed me and I had the most to learn from was Brooke. Brooke Davis used to be the party slutty girl, lead cheerleader, most popular girl in school, and all that stuff. But behind it, she was always searching for a real home, a home she never had.I watched her crying and laughing and growing. She fell in love for the first time with Lucas, and she started to change, just in the second she finds out her best friend loved him too. Well, that was kinda repeated 2 times. She grew older, and she watched all her friends getting married, having kids, all she ever wanted. She struggled a lot, and she found all that strangth I have no idea where from. But she made it, and she is now with a family, a loving husband, and two beatiful boy twins. And her parents ae finaly getting along after all these years. My heart just melts when I see that happiness, even though I know it's only a TV Show.
I know my words weren't enough to explain how this show really changed me. And how many thing I learned from it.
I'm just grateful today to the amazing Sophia Bush, who gave life to Brooke. She is a wonderful woman in real life too. Thank you, Bethany Joy Lenz, for being so close to my heart through Haley. Thank you, Hilarie Burton, for all the lessons you gave me. And of course, thank you, on-screen brothers, James Lafferty and Chad Michael Murray for lessons of brotherhood and dreams. And I bow to you, Mark Schwan, for giving life to this amazing show, that today makes my heart ache so bad.

P.S: Congrats also to Paul Johannson, Moira Kelly, Austin Nichols, Shantel VanSanten, Robert Buckley, Barbara Alyn Woods, Lee Norris, Antwon Tanner, and so on. And little Jackson Brundage. He's not forgotten.
